George Russell is already well settled at Mercedes, with 2025 marking his fourth season with the team. After an impressive debut in 2022, his performance dipped in 2023, where he failed to win a race and finished eighth in the standings, behind teammate Lewis Hamilton.
However, Russell bounced back in 2024, delivering stronger and more consistent performances to finish ahead of Hamilton over the course of the season. With Hamilton moving to Ferrari for 2025, Russell is now expected to step up as Mercedes’ team leader, a role he appears ready to embrace.
