Budapest is a very accessible metropolis. Check out the nearby Hunagororing Airport and plan your trip to the Formula 1 race.
Budapest Airport is a medium-sized airport, with most flights coming only from Europe or Istanbul. But the good news is that Hungary is the home country of low-cost carrier Wizzair, so you can often get great prices for flights to Budapest.
One of the largest airports in Central Europe, it offers a wide range of connections to all over the world. From here, you can quickly get to Budapest and the Hungaroring either by rental car or by direct train connection of the Austrian national carrier ÖBB. The ticket costs about 50 EUR, and the train covers the route in less than three hours, faster than if you drive!
There is also a bus connection between the two metropolises.
Milan Rastislav Stefanik Airport in Bratislava is a well-equipped medium-sized airport. It is served by flights from all over Europe, including low-cost airlines. From here, you can take a rental car to the Hungaroring, a journey of about 2.5 hours. The route is also served by bus carriers. If you don't want to worry about a rental car, public transport is a great option.
