AT THE CIRCUIT

To make sure you don't have any worries during the race weekend and can focus on what's happening on the track, we have some practical tips for you.

FOOD AND DRINK

You can bring your own food and drink, including alcoholic beverages in a plastic bottle, in reasonable quantities to the Hungaroring. Dangerous packaging, especially glass, is prohibited; see details here. 

The organisers do not tolerate any forms of food preparation. So leave your grills and cookers at home. ;-) There are plenty of refreshment points in the stands and in the fan zone offering the traditional range of fast food. Alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages are available for purchase. There are also drinking water stations around the spectator zones, which are available free of charge.

COMMUNICATION

Before you head out on the circuit, make sure you have all the information you need saved on your phone. From tickets to maps to information about your favourite riders. Especially on Sundays, there's a risk that the mobile network will be overloaded at the Hungaroring, and you won't be able to download mobile data.

Think about the fact that you may not be able to reach your friends. If you want to meet anyone on Sunday, always arrange a time and place to meet beforehand, just like in the old days when there were no cell phones.

NOISE

Don't forget that motorsport is very noisy. While the noise is tolerable in the regular stands, make sure you wear earplugs if you're closer to the track. If you're travelling with children, make sure you don't leave them without headphones.

WEATHER

The Hungaroring is located just outside Budapest at a low altitude, and it's usually hot in the middle of summer, and you can be caught out by thunderstorms. Consider headwear and plenty of fluids; warm weather is much more likely than rain. After all, it has only rained twice in the entire history of F1 at the Hungaroring.
