In 2023, Esteban Ocon found himself in a new position—serving as the most experienced driver within the Alpine team for the first time. However, the 2021 Hungarian Grand Prix winner couldn’t build on his strong 2022 campaign, in which he outscored Fernando Alonso. Instead, he was outperformed by new teammate Pierre Gasly.
The 2024 season proved difficult for both Ocon and Alpine. The team struggled with performance, and tensions within the garage began to show. Ocon's relationship with the team deteriorated, ultimately leading to an early split before the season’s end.
Looking ahead, Ocon will take on a fresh challenge in 2025 as he joins Haas F1. The American team is in a rebuilding phase, and Ocon will be hoping to use his experience to help steer them forward.
